Jared B. Mandell founded JB Mandell as a studio furniture business in 2015. His fascination with home furnishings began as a child surrounded by the neoclassical side tables of his great grandparents and the mid-century coffee tables of his grandparents.
This fascination turned into a passion during an apprenticeship with a renowned furniture artist at Monkwood Studio. After handcrafting over a hundred dining tables and desks under the training of “Monk,” an artistic discipline became the framework of JB’s own work.
While making studio furniture under JB Mandell, his focus was on: curated wood in order to emphasize natural beauty in the wood grain, supporting local businesses, designing furniture to the highest possible aesthetic standards without forsaking function, handcrafting pieces that will last a lifetime, and personal communication with clients ensuring that they always receive what they want.
JB Mandell now utilizes those first 7 years of experience in studio furniture to make fine home furnishings and accessories, utilizing the same philosophy that began his career in 2015.
